I know, I know. There are no postings at all for 2008. (This message is actually being written in January 2009, by way of explanation.) Why? My website observes radio silence while I’m writing a book, pretty much, and I was working hard on my next book, on food, throughout 2008. Now that it’s done, I have had time to revamp this site (finally switching from hand-coded HTML to a proper blogging platform) in preparation for the book’s launch in May/June 2009. I’ll put up a page for the new book, and explain what it’s about, in the coming weeks.
